Disney Monorail Trains to Feature TRON: LEGACY Art
Although its a long way from the premiere (December 17), Disney continues to fuel the fires of anticipation for Tron Legacy! The Epcot Monorail line at Walt Disney World in Florida will soon feature these slick light cycle designs promoting the new movie. Glad to see Tron getting some love from Disney! In my visits to WDW I was unable to find anything (souvenir or otherwise) Tron-related, which seemed strange for such a groundbreaking movie.

Save the Elephants: STOP BLOODY IVORY
This week, two countries are seeking to break the worldwide ban on ivory trading — a decision that could wipe out whole elephant populations and bring these magnificent animals closer to extinction.
But many African states and conservationists support extending the ban on elephant-slaughtering ivory trade. The decision will be made at a UN meeting in Doha on 13 March, and global public opinion could tip the balance!

I have actually linked to this site before (Oct. 19 2009 to be exact), but people keep pinging me about it every time any other blog mentions it so I’ll link to it again.
I was watching the original TRON again last night and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I thought I clearly saw a silhouette of Mickey Mouse integrated into the terrain during one of the scenes late in the movie! I reviewed that scene 2 or 3 times and sure enough, there he was. Later on I googled “mickey mouse in tron” and the site hiddenmickeys.org confirmed my suspicions. Very cool!

Its all over and we simply couldn’t have asked for a better Olympic gold medal hockey game yesterday! Both teams played great! Seriously… the 2010 Olympics demonstrated ice hockey at its absolute finest.
