slapshot: Slapshot for the Wii For the first time ever, EA SPORTS brings NHL to the Wii with NHL Slapshot. Along with it, the game introduces a revolutionary hockey stick controller that allows players to shoot, pass and body check just like the pros. Time to get a Wii I guess

The Great One - Wayne Gretzky is the cover athlete and will be a playable character in EA Sports new “NHL Slapshot” which comes out exclusively for the Wii in September! Looks like the game will come with a mini-stick which will integrate both the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk. Not too many other details available just yet, but here’s hoping its going have a decent online play feature. 2K Sports has officially been put on notice.

Apple - HTML5 Showcase Personal note: love they chose the TRON Legacy trailer for the video demo. :) - UPDATE: Although stunning in Safari, this is what you get if you try to visit the showcase with Firefox: Apple probably should’ve ensured that at least some of this awesome stuff would work in Firefox too, because otherwise it just makes a case for the existence of plug-ins.
