Random little-known fact: way back in 2006 I designed the icon for Andy Matuschak’s ubiquitous app-updating framework, Sparkle. I found this blast from the past lurking about on my hard drive this morning. :)

Code Bubbles’ - A very unique IDE concept!

(Thanks to @onelove for tweeting this.)

Here, File File now available!
I’ve been waiting for this app for quite a while! Here, File File connects to your Macs via a server app that runs in the menu bar. While it is running, you can connect to your Mac from anywhere outside your local network. Sexy and useful! Discounted price until February 14! Exclamation marks!!

Pixelmator updated to v1.5 "Spider"

The wonderful Mac-only image editor gets a really nice update with a handful of cool new features (plus official Snow Leopard support).

SelfControl for Mac OS X

Yes I realize the implicit irony of blogging this link here on tumblr but this app is something I think I need. Maybe you do too, since you’re here reading this instead of working.

Panic! Sale! Now!

Panic 3-day sale!

Woo! The Panic 3-day sale has started. 50% off all their big apps for the Mac! We’re talkin’ Coda, Transmit, CandyBar, and Unison. I honestly can’t say enough good things about Panic software. I spend almost my entire work day inside the comfy confines of Coda’s singular window and its just such a pleasure to work with. The built-in support for subversion is brilliant and elegantly implemented. My other fave in this bounty of apps is CandyBar. I’ve been a registered CandyBar user since the very first release. I love the Mac and I love icon art so CandyBar is a natural. Its always been the safest way to customize OS X system icons (and the Dock) and with Pixadex cataloging now integrated into it, its a must-have app for iconaholics like myself.

So if you’ve been inexplicably holding out on buying any of these apps, do yourself a favour and check out the sale. And no, I don’t work for Panic! :)

Radium for Mac

I just found this great little menubar application for listening to XM radio (and SomaFM and a few others) on my Mac. I’ve been spoiled by having XM radio in the car so this lets me continue the joy while I’m at my Mac. It absolutely follows the “pick one thing and do it well” mantra. Minimal CPU/memory usage, Growl support, Spotlight-ish UI. The developers (CatPig Studios) even let you name your own price when registering (which I did). Awesome stuff!
